Sometimes the most one can hope for in this life is to function at a bare minimum. This would include providing for oneself by having a job and being able to shelter and eat. Not too difficult for most in this day and age, but for some it's just not happening. This is why we at the House try to instill basic survival skills, in addition to simply helping with recovery. Thus, we charge rent weekly. From experience, it's just too much to ask these numb-nuts to save up rent for a whole month. But for a small but incredibly dense set of residents, even paying rent once every seven days seems beyond their ability.
